     2.      BSBA change [Twombly]

a.  Change Math requirement from MATH151 to Minimum MATH122

b.  Rationale:  the requirement for MATH151 will depend on specialization

c.  Previous 2 AY changes:  none to the core degree, specializations modified

a.  The Minor in Manufacturing Technology (MT) covers a range of topics integral to management of manufacturing operations, to include advanced technologies, process optimization, automation, quality control, information systems, advanced CNC machining processes, and other topics.

     7. On the oversight of interdisciplinary programs (IDPs) [Spink].

     The UFC has proposed designating the standing committee formerly known as the IPRO Oversight Committee as the Interdisciplinary Program Oversight Committee. This committee will appoint a new Steering Committee for each new IDP approved by the faculty; these steering committees will oversee each IDP's implementation and any subsequent changes. The UFC has asked for UGSC discussion and comment on this proposal. The UGSC approves of this proposal by unanimous consent.

      8. New Program Proposal from Applied Math: BS in Data Science [Kang, Ong], first reading

              and discussion; to be voted on at next UGSC meeting.
