The USC discussed plans for the advising and registration of new matriculating students.
The Dept. of Applied Mathematics asks advisors to place qualified students who are in the process of taking college-credit courses (either AP or transfer credit) into Math-151. If those students then receive college credit, they may (after discussion with their faculty advisor) be placed into a higher course.
Prof. Ucci informs the USC that the office of the Provost intends to make resources available to assist the departments with their advising duties.
The USC entertained no formal motions and took no votes.
