New Business 

2) (Twombly) Information item.  New Minor in Finance.

3) (Pulliam) Proposed CAC Departmental C-Course Review Schedule; will ask for committee approval next meeting.

 

Old Business

4) (Pulliam/Menhart/Troyk) Proposal in response to the question:  When is it acceptable for an academic unit to specify how the core curriculum is satisfied?  The proposal passes unanimously.

For the main text of the UG BulletinÕs Core Curriculum pages: ÒNo course required by and/or counted toward the major or entailed minor requirements of a degree program may also be used to satisfy the Human Sciences Module of the Core Curriculum except where specifically allowed in certain programs.*Ó

Footnote for the UG BulletinÕs Core Curriculum Pages: Ò*Undergraduate academic degree programs, including minors which may be required by degree programs, may not mandate, specify or otherwise limit Human Sciences Module Core Curriculum course work.  Programs may request exceptions from this policy by submitting a curriculum change proposal to the UGSC. In establishing exceptions, consideration shall be given to program viability balanced against the integrity of the Core Curriculum.Ó

 

5) (Menhart) Dual Degree Program in Biology and Psychology.  Passes unanimously. The approval of this program is contingent upon the approval of item 4 (above) by the UFC and the Faculty.

 

More New Business 

6) (Schachman) Discussion of current add/drop dates and problems with the late dates.

 

7) (Schachman) Discussion of student anonymity issues WRT course/teacher evaluations.
