The minutes of the meeting of Jan 29, 2004 are approved.
It is moved and seconded that
The USC approves the following concentrations within the BS in Chemistry: Biological Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Chemical Physics, and Chemical Education
The motion passes.
It is the view of the USC that the additions of concentrations within the established degree program do not require further endorsement by the Faculty Council. The Faculty Council will be informed of the concentrations.
It is moved and seconded that:
The USC approves the undergraduate post-baccalaureate certificate in premedical studies, offered through the Department of Biological Chemical and Physical Sciences.
The motion passes.
It is the view of the USC that the non-degree certificate does not require further endorsement by the Faculty Council. The Faculty Council will be informed of the certificate program.
Mr. T. Jacobius presented the IPRO Study Group Final Report.
No motions are proposed. No vote is taken.
There will be further discussion of the Report at the next USC meeting.
