On March 25-26 a vote was taken via email on whether or not to extend the I-Course Pilot Program for one year in order to allow for more data to be gathered and analyzed. Votes were emailed to the UGSC Chair and the Secretary.
The vote was 14 in favor, two opposed, and one formal abstention.
· Voting in favor of the extension were Spink (BIOL), Hazard (HUM), Gidalevitz (PHYS), Troyk (BME), Adams (ROTC), Miller (PSYC), Oruklu (ECE), Hood (CS), Guan (CHEM), Trygstad (SAT), Hong (CHBE), Flury (ARCH), Corradi (CAEE), and Twombly (SSB).
· Voting against the extension were Ireland (SSCI) and Wark (MMAE).
· Blanchard (SGA) formally abstained. Weening (AMAT) did not vote.
On April 2, this information item was sent to all committee members, voting and ex-officio.
· Information item from Katie Spink in Biology: Biology 104 was approved as a CS course. The Biology department would like it listed as an option for meeting the CS requirement for Biology, MBB, Biochemistry.
